Reaction to The little prince

The little prince was a book that impressed me a lot when I was just a little kid that can not fully understand it’s deep meaning and analogies. But now, read it again I found that with the growth of my age and an increase in experience, I had a different feeling about it. It’s a story about the adventure and the growth of the little prince. The little prince is a child who lives on an planet that just a little bigger than him with his little rose that deeply loved by him. But the vanity of the little rose hurt the little prince's affection for her, so the little prince left his little planet and began his journey to space. He visited six planets, and all things that he seen let him down. He felt that the adults were ridiculous and vain. But under the guidance of geographers, the little prince came to the earth where human lives in. On the earth, the little prince discovered that human beings lack imagination and only repeat what others say just like a parrot, and the prince missed his rose. Later, the little prince met a little fox. The little prince conquered the fox with patience, and became a close friend with him. The little fox told his secret to the prince: the essence of things can not be seen by the naked eye, only by heart can he see everything as a present. Using the secret, the little prince found the fountain of life together with the pilot in the Sahara desert. Finally, the little prince was bitten by a viper and left the Earth. No one knows where he has gone maybe he has returned to his little planet and backed to his rose’s side. From my point of view, it’s a story that impressed and moved me a lot. Rather than a fairy tale, I think it is more like a love poem in which the protagonist grows up and found the true meaning of love. It also shows us how the writer think of the love and lead readers think about it and grow with the little prince. The little prince discovered his love to the rose and readers who build a combination between the story and their life will also have a deep feeling and may also learn to treat their lover with inclusiveness. The story also show us how adult’s world and life in children’s eyes. It will also make readers think of the changes in their life and their loss of childishness. I love this story, its romantic, story, analogies, and it’s open ending. Maybe we will come across with the little prince one day in our life, and maybe we are just the little prince and there is also a rose by ours side.
