The Great Gatsby书评
This book tells a story which happened during The Jazz Age ,after the World War I."It is the best age,it is also the worst age.""This is an age of wonder,an age of art, an age of money, and an age of cynicism."
Gatsby, an officer whose name was Gatz before had loved a girl named Daisy who was born in a rich family for almost five years. This is the motivation of all that he did: held varities of parties in his villa after he bought it. made friends with people in High society, hid his background of all that he knew…… He looks decent, elegant and nice in almost everywhere. He showed his photo in Oxford, told his story about his own life by others to Nick, but there is still something sounds unconvincing, about his life ,about his wealth ……
In the end ,Gatsby died because of Daisy´fault, and he did not konw Daisy already changed her mind, she was not that girl he knew before. I think this is the best ending. Gatsby died for his love ,there was no pity for his short life.
In this book, I feel the smelling of money, I saw the untruthful view with beautiful magic .This is the death of the American dream.
