love and wealth

When  I start to  read this book,I wonder to find an answer why Gatsby is  great.But at the end of the story,I have a new understanding.    The book is described in a third-person manner，so along the   prologue I know the life styles and spirit of American  in those times from  the narrator.They believed in having fun and lost  themselves. When Gatsby appared on  the scene, I consider Gatsby is different from all people.The man is described in elegance.Although how he disguised his origins, how to tell every lie confidently and how to hold an extravagant party every week like an upstart,he is successful.     His love is  lasting to Daisy.  " It had not been merely the stars to which he had aspired on that June night."  He always wait for  the true love before he die. Actually I can't find any evidence to support a woman like that will love anyone. She found a better man and adored him.She scared when Gatsby and Tom pressed about her.She just love herself.       This novel reflects the trend of this crazy and noisy times and deeply analyzes and criticizes the American society and morality in the period of prosperity. However , what people want to live is spiritual life, and only spiritual life is real wealth.
