Suddenly the gnat disappeared and Alice went to an open field, hoping to get to the eighth square. On her way, she met a fawn. She couldn't remember her name. The fawn pointed out that Alice was a human child and Alice remembered her name. She went on and on, a long way, but wherever the road divided there were sure to be two finger-posts pointing the same way.
