Book review

误会
When I was 15 years old, I first read The Great Gatsby. At that time, I only read about love, a tragic love story in which the affectionate hero was finally disappointed by the heroine. Now, I am 18 years old and I read it again. I read more than love about it.  The first time I read it, I thought Daisy was Gatsby's light, a hope of encouraging Gatsby to be a successful person.  Gatsby had been in love with Daisy and had lived better to get close to Daisy, even though Daisy had already married to Tom. Three years later, I read it again. Perhaps because I have grown up and matured, I do not see the enviable love, but see the evil this time. Gatsby desperately wanted to retake Daisy, how much of this was because of love, and how much was trying to redeem the dignity that was lost when he was young because of poverty.  Daisy was no longer the simple and lovely little girl with love all over her eyes, and she had fallen for wealth and power. As the end of the book says, we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
