Chapter4
Skila
The two fat little men were tweedledum and tweedledee. At first, they stood so still, each with an arm round the other’s neck. The two men looked like twins. Alice talked with them, eagerly asking how can she come out of the wood. Then tweedledee began to saying poetry to shift Alice’s attention. A short time later, the Red King was snoring, which sounded to her like the puffing of a large steam-engine. Knowing that who he was, Alice was worried about whether he would catch a cold. At last, tweedledum and tweedledee had an argument about the rattle and decided to have a battle. “Contrarise,” continued Tweedledee, ‘if I, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn’t, it ain’t. That’s logic.”
