In chapter 7, at the beginning of this chapter, many soldiers came running through the wood and they seem to fill the whole forest. Then came the horses. Alice was confused that whenever a horse stumbled the rider fell off instantly. What’s more, Alice was very glad to get out of the wood into an open place, where she found the White King writing his memorandum-book. Then the messegers told them a competition between the Lion and the unicorn for the crown, and the king invited Alice to come and see it. After a drastic fight, the lion and the unicorn stopped to rest. After eating a cake, the drums suddenly sounded. Alice took this opportunity to jumped across the stream. In this chapter the “memorandum-book” echoes the previous chapters. And it brings back my memory.
