A Tale of Two Cities
惊蛰Forever
A tale of Two Cities is the connection between Paris and London, but
mainly intended to depict the events of the French Revolution in the
18th century. Manette, a famous doctor, happened to witness the random
atrocities committed by the brothers Alfred, a feudal aristocrat, and
was imprisoned in the Bastille for eighteen years because of his
injustice. After being released from prison, Lucy, the daughter of
Manette, falls in love with danai, the son of her enemy. Thus, in the
Whirlpool of The French Revolution, one act family enmity is staged
grandly. Good, evil, life and death mingle in conflict, and change in a
moment. At the guillotine, Caton gave herself up for love. The love and
adventure of this encounter is interspersed with aristocratic brutality,
the anger of the people, the trial of spies and so on. The first sight
of a tale of Two Cities is a common narrative, which is basically a
two-line narrative on the whole. One line is the life of Dr Manette in
England, the other the revolutionary activities of St Anthony. The two
lines ran together until the French Revolution, when Charles Darnay
returned to France and merged into one. Until caton rescues Danae.
"Life has two cities. One lives in death and the other in
eternity." This is a story set more than two hundred years ago in
two great cities. Fog-filled, headlights flickering London, the lowest
level of desperate, decadent Paris. It was the best of times, it was the
worst of times. "This book confirms the evil of this age, and the
evil of the previous age that brought it to this end, gradually dying
for its own SINS. The age of sacrifice for love, the best for love, the
worst for innocent sacrifice.
