《艺术论》读后感
I agree with Toystol in his reasoning of the relationship between science and art, and in that art should not serve as a kind of entertainment or cater to the desire for enjoyment of a certain class of people. Art should have an ever-lasting value, from the artist's inner need to express feelings. But can art really need to be understandable by everyone? Isn't it another kind of catering to the public? Art works which can only be understood by a certain group of people should also be considered good art if they meet the esthetic standard. And I believe that this book, especially in the part of religion, to some extends, is written from the standpoint of Western culture, which cannot represent the situation of the Eastern culture. Maybe I should study more to have a deeper understanding of it.
