The Great Gatsby

In this novel, the author interprets Gatsby's experience and final decline from the perspective of his neighbor Nick. Gatsby fell in love with his distant cousin Daisy a long time ago,when he had been poor. He met Daisy again in a banquet. At that time, he was rich and they fell in love again. However, Daisy had married and had children. Die to the obstruction of her husband, the relationship between the two was once again broken. Gatsby has always been loyal to love, and his love for Daisy will never change until death. Unfortunately, at the end of his life, Daisy still did not give up her old mindset. However, after Gatsby's death, the indifference and ruthlessness of the upper class were even more evident. Only a few people came to his funeral and Daisy, the goddess he loved deeply all his life, even left in a hurry with her husband without even a bouquet of flowers. Gatsby thought that he could advance to the upper class by accumulating wealth, but people born in the upper class looked down on him who gained wealth through dishonest means. They thought Gatsby was not on the same level with them. To me, the great thing about Gatsby is that even though he is rich, he can spend five years to protect the green light in his heart and try to find that beauty. Although he knew that Daisy was already a woman who worships money, he is still willing to take the blame for her. Even if his source of money is not clean, but he was still more noble than the upper-class people described in the book, although he cheated but he did not cheat feelings, and those upper-class people will lie for everything. The modern society is indifferent, but Gatsby insists on what many people should insist on but do not insist on.That is why I admire him.
