As a Chinese reader,I think the American Dream is an allopatric history.American Dream is that every American have equal chance to realize self happiness by self striving .All the description of the American Dream appears in Gatsby’s eager for love in the book the Great Gatsby .Daisy is regarded as symbolism of American Dream.She is very vulgar and this demonstrates the vanity of the American Dream.It refracts love into some symbolism meaning.People in different culture have different concepts of love.No matter in Liang ShanBo and Zhu YingTai or the Dream of Red Mansion which is the love story of China traditional .In Wester people’s eyes,the love between two people expresses gracefully and restrainedly.Personal emotion seems lingering on the edge of sea because there are many pressures pressuring by there family and society.Comparing the western love,it expresses more vivid and brave emotion.As the young America at that time,Gatsby chased the love which is full of vanity but he was persistent.He waited five years and bought a mansion.
