Some Thoughts Concerning Education is written by the English philosopher John Locke. The book can be divided into three different parts. In the first part, the author thinks that a healthy body is extremely important. As an expert who has studied medicine and naturascience, the author puts forward many specific opinions on children‘s sports, health and other issues. The second part mainly tells about moral virtue which is the most important content of the book. Among all kinds of moral conduct, moral virtue comes first. Children must have comprehensive spiritual development on the basis of a healthy body. We should train children to control their desires rationally, and help they develop good habits from an early age. In the third part, wisdom and knowledge are discussed. The author attached more importance to virtue than intelligence.
