Reflections on The Alchemist

Because of his sincerity and insistence, he was able to realize the meaning of life, love and everything, find himself and achieve his initial dream. The treasures in this article are not only precious stones and gold, but also the symbol of every reader's dream. From the book "The Alchemist", we can see that a young man is daring to chase his dreams and fearless. The protagonist Santiago, a shepherd boy, had the same dream twice in succession, in which he was told that there would be treasures belonging to him when he traveled to the pyramids in Egypt. This dream was very real, which disturbs the boy's peaceful life. While herding sheep, he met Melchizedek, king of Salem. He suggested that it was his mission for the teenager to look for treasure. Then Santiago sold his flock and went to Egypt to pursue the treasures near the pyramids that he had dreamed about twice. Through all the hardships, he crossed the ocean and came to Africa. During the trip, he was cheated of his money by thieves, so he had to work for a crystal dealer and make money by selling crystals. He intends to give up his dream of treasure hunting and buy back sheep to restart his life. However, at the last moment when he decided to return, he remembered King Salem's exhortation, and the innermost "dream" was revived again. Therefore, he followed his heart again and embarked on a "treasure hunt" to continue to Egypt. Subsequently, he joined a caravan crossing the Sahara Desert and met an Englishman who was pursuing alchemy. He also encountered Fatima, a young girl in the Oasis, and attracted to her at first sight. The alchemist taught him a lot along the way, and instructed him to keep forward towards his goal. On the journey, Santiago was captured by the army, and the alchemists bought them three days with Santiago's money. If Santiago could turn himself into the wind, then they would be released. Eventually, he reached the pyramid, but found no treasure and met the robbers. When the robbers knew about Santiago's treasure-seeking dream and said to him, I dreamed the identical one. Under the fig tree near a church in Spain were a lot of treasures buried. Santiago pondered these words carefully, then went back to Spain, found his treasure under the fig tree where the sheep were herded near the church, and ultimately married his beloved girl. In this fantastic journey, we will discover the power of a young boy. When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. When you have a dream, the whole world will give way to you. Many people have dreams in their hearts, but they are unwilling to change them and lose to the reality in the end. The crystal vendor said in the book, "I am afraid that once I have completed my dream, I will no longer get any reason to live." But the shepherd boy said, "When I sincerely pursue my dream, every day is colorful, because I know that every hour is a part of my dream. The shepherd boy chased his dream and realized his desire to travel far away and found the treasure. It's too suitable for reading this book when you are confused. After reading it, you will be filled with power. The distance between dreams and reality lies only in actions. As the book says, "There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible, and that is fear of failure." There will be countless difficulties and challenges in the process of realizing dreams. Life will always be like this. Just as you lifted the torch of your dream, it began to rain in the sky. All kinds of difficulties will always be like fists thrown out of thin air, driving you dizzy and frustrated.
