学习通考试 First, use letters and diaries in the case narrative, that is,
excerpts from Watson's reports and diaries to Sherlock Holmes. This
method classifys the time into three stages: when the event progresses;
when Watson writes letters; and Watson when he reviews. For the same
thing, the feeling at that time, the feeling when writing a diary, and
the feeling of being reviewed many years later must be completely
different. But Conan Doyle himself didn't realise the problem. Because
he did not use the time difference and information difference of these
three time nodes to create the illusion of narrative, there was no
obvious difference between the chapters "When Watson wrote
letters" and the chapters of "when Events were in
progress", and they were still just a simple finite perspective
statement. The second is the hidden existence of the detective, that
Holmes did not tell Watson that he was hiding in a stone hut. This was
actually done with an unreliable narrative. Conan Doyle made us and
Watson think that Holmes was not present. But he also did not dig into
the narrative potential in this regard. Holmes deceived Watson, but he
didn't really deceive Watson - because he was still "doing
nothing" during this period. He just got information Watson didn't
know as usual, but it doesn't matter how he got it. Because his hidden
behaviour did not have any impact on Watson's experience. In a word, the
novel "The Dog" is a simple work of Conan Doyle's narrative
exploration of detective novels.
