My reading response

Compared with the original version, Lunyu, it is a different experience to reading the English translation-The Discourses and Sayings of Confucius. Not only can I learn the idea and content of Lunyu , but also study the English translation skills.

TheDiscourses and Sayings of Confucius, together with the Great University, The Doctrine of the Mean and Mencius, are known as the Four Books. They are classics of Confucianism and the main materials for studying Confucius.

The Analects of Confucius also successfully depicted many vivid images of Confucius disciples. For example, Zi Lu's recklessness and frankness, Yan Hui's benevolence and virtue, Zi Gong's intelligence and eloquence, Zeng Fair's unrestrained and refined, etc., all left a deep impression on people.

Zhao Pu, a statesman in the Northern Song Dynasty, once said that "half of the Discourses and Sayings of Confucius governs the world". The philosophical thoughts contained in the Analects of Confucius are extensive and profound, which still have important reference significance for modern people.

I learned many translation skills from this book, and moreover, I found some improper translation in it.

It's good to open a book!
