A real life consists of thousands of choics,somebody may turn down the important one to choose the
valueless one .You may find it hard to belive that the author think death is more valueable than pleasuer,fame,love and wealth.Under the dark society the author lives ,it is not difficult for us to get it .However ,I think it can tell us somgthing else.It tells us all thing will leave if we do not cherish them and if we take what we have for granted,we will never understand the importence of it .So,though we have something others long to have ,we still feel greedy and depressed.
