The Final Problem

This article is the last memory of Sherlock Holmes. In this last case, Sherlock Holmes and his biggest rival, Moriarty,  fight with their intelligence. And the ending is pretty sad: Holmes died, together with the Moriarty.

    As a fan of Sherlock Holmes, the personality charm of Holmes revealed in the book attracted me deeply. For example,  when Holmes and Watson were escaping from London, Holmes had thought of almost all possibilities as that they could escape safely. That is what makes Holmes stand out. He is so intelligent that he could know everything around him. To be honest, I am very envious of his this ability. In the whole book, here he showed his extreme intelligence for the last time, leaving the readers  aftertaste.

    Apart from that, in the first conversation between Holmes and Moriarty, Holmes said :"If I were assured of the former eventuality I would, in the intersts of the public, cheerfully accept the latter." Holmes devoted himself to the interests of society, and chose the death to distroy Professor Moriarty. The great spirit let Sherlock Holmes is not only a detective, his heart is beyond the life and death. This let me have a different understanding to Holmes.

    However , there was something that made me unsatiesfied. It is that, as a Detective story,the Final Problem doesn't include any reasoning, which I thing is a shortcoming of it. The book put all the space used to praise Holmes. And all the details that Holmes reveal the Professor Moriarty was not mentioned, that was what I didn't like and made me puzzled.
