School and society

There is a close connection between schools and society, which refers to the mutual relationship or connection between schools and society in promoting human progress and social development. The occurrence and development of education are fundamentally related to the development and changes of society, as well as the various needs of human beings seeking their own survival. So, I decided to choose Dewey's "School and Society" as my reading material. After reading this educational masterpiece, it gave me a deep understanding and greatly inspired me. Dewey is a modern American educational thinker and pragmatic philosopher, and perhaps no one can compare to Dewey's profound influence and unparalleled contribution to the thinking and implementation of education in the United States and the world. His ideas not only formed the experimental philosophical system that emerged after American pragmatism, but also indirectly influenced the implementation and theory of new education - so-called progressive education - as an educational philosopher. It took a long time to read Dewey's School and Society, and I always feel that reading his book requires a careful understanding and appreciation of its educational significance.
