In recent days, all the way from "Thousands of Miles Home" to
"The Country", and then saw the novel "Bungee
Jumping" about diplomats building a museum alone, one after another
for the diplomatic profession and the face of our diplomats have some
knowledge. On the contrary, Fu Ying's book "There" is closer
to the diplomatic ambassador we are familiar with - through the language
art of speech, in various formal public occasions, delicately convey the
political position and demands of the country. However, a coherent
reading of her speeches before and after serving as ambassador in
Australia and the United Kingdom can also find places in diplomatic
discourse that are inconsistent with my previous intuition. For example,
we do not shy away from saying again and again that China is a
developing country. This view appears in every speech, and the same list
of facts is repeated. From the point of view of publicity, it gives
workers some guidance: "Don't expect your users to understand your
words at once." From the perspective of international
communication, frankly stating the weaknesses of social reality can
maintain legitimacy to some extent, and further strive for favorable
space for reducing the information deficit and communication.
