Reading experience

After reading The Great Gatsby, I feel deeply sorry for Gatsby. He devoted his whole life to chasing Daisy, his ideal love, only to end up lonely and dead. Wealth and parties never brought him true happiness. The novel exposes the emptiness of the American Dream in the 1920s. Many people chased money blindly but lost their original hearts. Gatsby’s persistence is admirable, yet his dream was doomed from the start. It is a sad story reminding us to distinguish fantasy from reality.
