The book "The Undertaker’s Chat" published by Mark Twain used the little chat between a undertaker and "I" to describe a example of the corpses and by praising the character of the corpse, "I" thought  "I" had got a lesson. With the story, Mark Twain was also giving us the lesson which teaches us which attitude we should take to face our own lives.

Through the comparison of the corpse and his family, we could see an optimistic attitude to face life but the irony is that the attitude belonged to the person which was going to die. It really sparked my thinking, should we, the alive, be so secular to face life? The dead doesn't need anything at all and the alive make everything complex, it's people's selfishness and vain that make the ridiculous situation.

Maybe when we are goin to death, we would know much more, Mark Twain is trying to tell us what it is that we may care when facing death. It wouldn't be fame, fortune and money these traps. By satirize the hypocrisy and vanity of the corpse's family, the author teachs us to keep a positive, optimistic heart, and face the life with smile!
