Katherine Mansfield (14 October 1888-9 January 1923), born and brought up in colonial New Zealand, is a prominent short fiction writer. The stories written by her always focus on moments of disruption and frequently open rather abruptly. In my opinion, most of her works have depicted the existing state of women. Additionally, she has paved the way for solving social problem of female emancipation through unique literature. Therefore, in the novel "A Cup of Tea", it so easy for us to find out what the story means as well as what the writer want to tell us.
