A brief comment for A Cup of T

Here is an comment about my instant feeling after reading this story. First I want to say Rosemary behavior is exactly the reflection of the rich lady. They think they should be mercy enough to show kindness, but in reality, they just consider themselves superior. So this rich young lady does such a ridiculous thing, to invite a poor girl to her house for a cup of tea. All she did seems to satisfy herself but not for the girl’s sake. More interestingly, Rosemary’s husband use the jealousy of female to reach his aim, that make Rosemary to take this dirty girl away. I must admit I didn’t understand the man’s purpose until I read some Chinese comment. I felt confuse when her husband said the little girl is pretty. To end up this note, I want to say one point that impressed me most. In this story, the writer always describe the poor girl as “poor little thing”, “creature” and so on, which shows no respect to her, and that’s the exact thought of Rosemary and her husband. I consider this story as a totally ironic comedy with exaggeration, it make us laugh and also thinks a lot.
