Love in the Desert is a novel about a French soldier who is isolated in the desert. He is almost dying and faints in a cave. When he wakes up, he finds a wild animal lying beside him, originally a leopard with bloodstains on its mouth. Fortunately, the leopard is full and harmless to him. The soldier wanted to kill it with a dagger, then changed his mind and caressed it with a tender and affectionate gesture. He not only got along well with the leopard, but also built up feelings and played with it. However, the soldier was still afraid and fled while the leopard was asleep, but he did not go very far. The leopard caught up with him. By this time, he was trapped in the quicksand. The leopard bit his collar and rescued him. At the end of the story, the soldier killed the leopard by accident. The leopard bit him gently on his thigh. He thought he wanted to eat him, so he used a dagger. When the leopard struggled, he looked at him without any annoyance. When the hero talked about this experience, he said, "I can't see a desert anywhere." There is no one there, only God."What he can't feel in human society, he felt in the desert.
