     After reading the book called A Good Man’s Miracle by Nathaniel Hawthorne,I gain a lot. 
     The book mainly tells a story that there's a badly poor area, where many children had no chance to get education,and many adults had no chance to get a job. At that time there was a man who with warm heart. He thought that the true faculty of doing good consists not in wealth nor station, but in the energy and wisdom of a loving heart, that can sympathize with all mankind, and acknowledges a brother or a sister in every unfortunate man or woman, and an own child in each neglected orphan. Therefore,he took action to make the situation better. It was merely, to hire respectable and intelligent women, at the rate of a shilling each, to come, every Sabbath, and kept little schools for the poor children whom he had seen at play.And this was the origin of Sunday-schools. Since then,thousands, and tens of thousands, had there received instruction, which had been more profitable to them than all the gold on earth. 
     From the story,I realize that the sympathy,the kind-hearted,the love of a man is valuable. And we should learn the quality of the main character of the book. Let our love spread to a farther place.
