My favorite character is little Verna, Verna always follow the time traveler around, and never give up. The dangers and uncertainties of the future did not change her trust and reliance on time travelers. No matter how time goes on, how the world changes, this emotion is always able to move people. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. When they enter the woods, they are surrounded by the ugly and ferocious morlocks, and little Verna is killed in a fire. And the higher the development of science and technology, the greater the existential crisis the mankind will face. Human evolution and the entropy increase in the process of the contradiction is not necessarily perfect. While the human civilization is highly developed and perfected ,human energy, passion and creativity will gradually degenerate, accompanied by the death of conscience, the decay of morality, the collapse of social structure and the loss of the achievements of civilization.
Theis is all my feelings after reading this book.
