the rose and the natingale

.
于是,愤怒之下,学生把夜莺用生命换来的血色玫瑰扔到了大街上,玫瑰掉进了阴沟里,一只车轮从它身上碾了过去…This book mainly tells the story about the happy prince and a swallow. They are the embodiments of the true, the good and the beautiful. Infact, the prince is just a statue standing high above the city. Once hewas a happy prince living in the palace of Sans-Souci and he didn’t knowwhat sorrow was. Now as a statue, his body was gilded with thin leavesof fine gold, for eyes he had two bright sapphires, and a large red rubyglowed on his sword-hilt. He could see all the ugliness and all themisery of the city. He sympathized with the sufferings of the poor. Thelittle swallow was going to Egypt to enjoy the warm spring. He was movedby the prince’s kindness. In the story, the prince is a very kind, generous and selfless person. He can devote his life to the poor. He is just like an angel. The storyis devided into four parts to show the prince’s devotion “I was a manwho stood in symbolic relations to the art and culture of my age,” saidOscar Wilde in that curious literary document, De Profundis.“Few men hold such a position in their own lifetime, and have it sorecognized.” What he said is true. Fairytales are not only read bychildren and I think the reason why many adults like me love fairy-talesis that they give them an opportunity to exam their souls and to revivetheir sleeping spirituality.
