It was the best of times and the worst of times.

"It was the best of times and the worst of times." The opening sentence of a tale of two cities has been quoted countless times. But I guess those who know it don't necessarily know what the novel a tale of two cities tells, or what it says. If you want to understand the original meaning of this sentence and why you wrote it, you have to read the original.
Some say "a tale of two cities" is a great romance novel, focusing on caton's great unloved love for Lucy, who sacrifices herself to save her husband for the latter's happiness. But if purely from the perspective of relationship analysis, it seems, don't see why caton have to fall in love with Lucy, from close to plot and character, more difficult to feel the caton how will deeply in love with Lucy, in the premise and foundation of unrequited love doesn't seem to be strong, to see caton sacrifice, even though we have to admit that this sacrifice is really great, but always feel a little well.
