Carrie wanders from the countryside to the city. She is "burned" by the warmth and coldness of human feelings in reality. The personal freedom and romantic love she is looking for will eventually come to an end in the big cities of Chicago and New York. Whether this "end" is happy or sad will become a life experience for her to defend feminism. This paper attempts to answer Sister Carrie's concept of existence in the movie plot, and leads to the main line of feminism, hoping to open a window to the depth of human nature for the audience.
