What's so great about Gatsby?

What's so great about Gatsby? This is what happened to Asmara Moerni Gatsby, but he never regretted it, never relishing it, and in today's impetuous times, what's missing is the depth of the work. In part, it was a reflection of what was going on in the United States at the time: The opulence of the upper classes, the luxury of the Bright Lights, Big City, was still the norm, and there was a huge class gap, even though Gates had a lot of wealth, but it would never change his impoverished background, and although many of the upper classes came to his parties, they certainly did not look down upon him. Gates was destined to be sad, but that alone was enough to make him great, in an age of materialism and money, a simple upwardly mobile man.
