Story

The story tells a story in Italy. A moneyless man Bassano is making preparation to propose to Portia, a rich beautiful girl. His friend Antonio want to help him. So he borrows money from Shylock, who once has been insulted by Antonio and other Christians. He agrees to lend the money but if Antonio can't return on time, he may cut a pound of flesh from his body. Finally, Bassano marrys with Portia successfully. But Antonio's ship sank and can't return the money back. Shylock want to obey what the bond says. At that time, Portia pretent herself as a lawyer and talks to Shylock, it's OK but you can only take no more amd no less than one pound of flesh , and spilling no drop of blood. Finally, Shylock has to obey the verdict. Antonio is saved, and Bassano and Portia live together happily.
