Since the founding of China,we have never been so proud aswe are today. I remember Chairman Mao Zedong'ssaying,"Let the Chinese nation rank among the nations of the world", which has always made Chinese diplomats excited and eager.Today,we are not only among the nations of the world,but the Chinese nation will grow into a big tree in the forest.However, on the whole, developing active diplomacy is still a new topic for China,and it needs a learning process. The key is to grasp the balance between"benefit!" and "potential" in international relations.What is "profit"? It is all kinds of requirements toachieve the strategic goals of national security and development. What is "potential"?It is the basic international trend,representing the trend ofthe world and the backing of people's hearts. For example,Mencius said,"Those who gain the Tao willget more help,while those who lose the Tao will getless help." Last year,more than 22million Chineseand foreign tourists visited Xinjiang,including360,000foreign tourists. People are good at singing and dancing, enthusiastic and bold, and treat guests like relatives.For thousands of year,people of all ethnic groupsin Xinjiang have lived in harmony,keeping watchand helping each other in a big family. Of course,just like in other extended families and multi-ethnicareas,sometimes it is inevitable that there will befriction. In China,we calli "contradictions among thepeople",that is to say, these problems can be solved through consultation rather than a life-and-death struggle. In recent years,Xinjiang,like the mainland,has developed rapidly.Many mainlanders participate in construction in Xinjiang,especially in the cottonharvest season. There are also many Xinjiangpeople working,doing business and studying in the mainland. Uighur are active in many big citiesin the mainland, and some Xinjiang restaurants inBeijing are very popular.And freedom of migrationis a basic human right and one of the signs of China's development and progress.China has beena big multi-ethnic family since ancient times. Thecommon goal of unity,prosperity and harmonyclosely unites 56 ethnic groups.
