How did Jane Eyre's childhood experience affect her?

Jane Eyre's parents died early and she lived in her aunt's house, where she was bullied and abused by her aunt and cousins. As a result of the constant chastisement and scolding, Jane Eyre shows strong resistance. When her aunt yelled at her to keep her children away from her, she shouted, "They don't deserve to be with me"; when she was imprisoned in the Red House, she cried out "injustice" from her heart when she thought of the abuse she had been subjected to! The anguish she experienced as a child led to a strong desire for love and a passion for life, and also led to the formation of Jane Eyre's self-respecting, autonomous and rebellious character.
