The hearts of the old men and the old men of the sea reflect the same kinds of psychology as those of our contemporaries. We seek the goal we want to achieve all our life, but on the way forward, we always encounter many unexpected setbacks and failures. We also have doubts about ourselves, and feel lonely and helpless for our fragile and small life. Reading Hemingway is like looking inside yourself. We should not just care about our own spirit and thoughts, more important is that we should have a warrior spirit, dare to face the challenge, dare to resist. Dare to fight for your ideal tomorrow

  I agree with it. Hemingway created a classic character, the old man. He used many things and people to reflect the courage and kindness of the old man. And actually, it indeed told us that although the nature is huge and the world is powerful, while  we humans are fragile and small. However, we need to have such a brave spirit to dare to confront with the problems that our lifepath would have.
