Material life is a person's coat, bright clothes, will naturally increase a person's complexion. But no matter how fine the clothes are, you can't change what's inside. Thoreau said: a goose, no matter how well dressed, is still a goose.
Just as Thoreau said, no matter how rich the material, it can not hide the barren heart, unless he does not speak. Once he speaks, the inner will barren out.
A layman wearing a monk's robe is just a layman, while a Buddha, even if he bares his belly and wears nothing, he still shines with Buddhist light.
