Jane Eyre is a classic work in the history of English literature. Its greatness lies in its successful creation of a strong female image who insists on maintaining independent personality, seeks freedom of personality, advocates equality of life and does not yield to fate. Taking the heroine Jane Eyre as the object of analysis, this paper discusses the process of character formation from five stages: Gateshead, Lowood, Thornfield, rural primary school and returning to Thornfield. From the initial rebellion of Gateshead, to the continuing growth of Lowood, to Thornfield's meeting with Mr. Rochester, his escape from here, his new trials at the village school, and finally, once again, his choice of the life he wanted until he was finally happy. A stubborn ordinary girl because of dissatisfaction with the reality of injustice and finally germination of the pursuit of a new, equal life dream. And in the temper of life, a little bit of growth, become mature, and finally realize their dreams.
