What do I learn from The Old Man and the Sea?
Although the old man described by Hemingway is tragic, he has the quality of Nietzsche's "superman", calmly accepting failure, and calmly and bravely facing death. These "tough men" reflect Hemingway's philosophy of life and moral ideals, that is, the spirit of a fighter who does not bow to fate, never surrender, and a positive and optimistic attitude towards life.
The light in life is in your next step. This step may be a step for you to start a new journey, or a step before you reach the end. Like an old man, pursue dreams and persist.
