《格利佛游记》梗概
The hero of Gulliver's Travels is Gulliver, a Bietish ship doctor. He is good at learning and kind-hearted, but he is arrogant and self-righteous. He has visited Lilliput, Adult, Feidao, Zhima and other places successively.
Gulliver, the protagonist of the work, is a British surgeon and later promoted to captain. He was well educated, proud of his motherland, and seemed to have considerable insight in both career and politics, but he was essentially a mediocre man, and Swift made full use od the limitations of the hero to achieve the most ironic effect.
