  The Time Machine is a science fiction wri tten by H.G.Wells, first published in 1895.The novel tells us a man who travelled through t ime by a special vehicle and his special experie nce in the future society.The writer H.G.Well s was a socialist and a pacifist.This novel The Time Machine reflects Wells's own socialist po litical views.We can find it in the future worl d he described in the story.This novel describes a time traveler to travel by inventing a time machine to the year AD 802701.There are two kinds of people.One kind of people called Elo i.They are well-dressed, doing no work, and p ursue an easy life.And the other kind of strang e white ape-like creatures the Eloi called Morl de his time machine into a statue, but He final ly gets it, and use the machine into the futur e. But he makes some mistakes, and travels thi rty million years into the future.He finds the life is almost extinct at that time. However, he returns to the present time in the end. In the story, the author describes two kinds of peopl e.He compares the rich people in the present soc iety to Eloi, and the poor to Morlock.The rela tion between Eloi and Morlock likes the relatio n between the people at present society.It give s us a warning in some degree, and makes us to think about the peace life and our earth's env ironment deeply.

  At the end of the novel, the traveler travels back in time for the last time to the future world and discovers that the sun is getting darker, the earth is very old, and even the air is thinning. He encounters a group of tiny green creatures called the Aloyans, the only life forms on Earth, and humans were extinct millions of years ago. Therefore, it can be inferred that the last place where the traveler may arrive is the extremely distant future of the earth, when the earth is already so old that it cannot even sustain the environment for human existence. This ending is also an expression of Wells' pessimistic prediction about the future of mankind.
