It is one of the most important temples in China,along with the Forbidden City and the Temple of Earth.The Temple of Heaven was built in the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 600 years. It is located in the southern part of Beijing and was listed as one of the first batch of key national cultural relics protection units in 1961. The main building of the Temple of Heaven is circular,and the conical roof was once covered with yellow glazed tiles. The circular wall was built with bricks and was once surrounded by a white wall, Inside the circular wall, there are many stone buildings,including the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the Altar of Sacrifice, the Altar of Prayer for Good Harvest, and the Circular Mound Altar.
