  Cathy and Linton had a very tumultuous relationship. Initially, they were extremely close, but as they grew older, they began to grow apart. Cathy became more rebellious and wild, while Linton became more reserved and serious. They also had different ideas about how the estate should be run, which led to a lot of conflict between them. In the end, their relationship deteriorated so much that Linton ended up leaving Wuthering Heights altogether.
