QQJane first learned about Mr. Rochester from Mrs. Fairfax and knew that he was a very prestigious and good host. Jane has the impression that Mr. Rochester is of medium height, with broad shoulders and a strong chest, when he fell down on a horse and tried to help him up. He has a dark face and a pair of glaring eyes. He is about 35 years old. He is not handsome, even quite rude.
