  Still unaware of who he is, she is amazed on returning home to discover that the gentleman she met is in fact her employer. That evening Mr Rochester sends for Adèle and Jane. Jane feels instantly comfortable with Mr Rochester despite his abrupt manner. She is not intimidated by him and is  honest and outspoken .
