Verena刘一朵Today we discussed about what is artwork truly is. -artworks have a trait that is it must be suitable for its setting. Heidegger thinks the artwork must stay in it’s own place. The farther the distances that it from it’s “hometown”, the more value will be lost. Heidegger also mentions a temple. But what the temple means? -It enhances the existence of civilization. -It set up a world that put the some element in the nature into it. -Also, the background of the temple will be more and more beautiful while the temple existed. The sky will be deeper and the earth will be more thick. Heidegger says that There is a strife between nature and civilization. -Human want to set up a civilization on the ground and let it to be permanent, but the nature will prevent that and will destroy it. -Human strife with the nature, and restrict with nature. Here is an example——-the dam. It made of stone and we all know that stone is from nature, and dam can also avoid water catastrophe. However, dam will be destroyed by the flood. Human want to change the nature, nature is trying to use this way to struggle with that. It really make me consider that the environment protection is really need to improve. We also talked about poem.

关.I have QUESTIONS actually:1.I think these philosophical essays are too abstract and don't know how to better understand them. 2.What is the relationship among the sky ,the earth ,the divinities and the mortals? 3.I don't know what is the relation between the VALUE you taught and the article of Heidegger
