Reading "The Chinese Spirit Feels"
I read Gu Lao's book The Spirit of the Chinese People during the winter vacation. Generally speaking, after reading this book, I have a deeper understanding of the Chinese spirit by comparing it with the western spirit, which also breaks my inherent understanding of the Chinese people.
Throughout European history, Westerners have a natural worship of power, so war is inevitable. At the same time, the absolute maintenance of the King also made Western Europe long-term division. Although Christianity restrains their behavior, their nature also drives them to do evil under the eyes of Jesus.
On the contrary, in the long history of China, the descendants of Yan and Huang have always maintained their pure and kind qualities. Some people may think that Confucius holds the lifeline of civilization, but this is not the case - even without the appearance of this saint, Chinese self-control will enable them to live at the top of world civilization. Confucius taught Chinese people to be considerate of others in all aspects on the basis of friendship and mutual assistance. Among them, compassion and kindness are their remarkable characteristics. Have compassion, help each other hand in hand in the disaster, close the distance between everyone. At the same time, kindness makes them treat others sincerely.
Today, with the rapid development of science and technology, the West has always been in the lead in the world, but the Chinese have always maintained their simple mentality. With the rapid development of science and technology, Westerners advocate science and persevere in the pursuit of truth. On the contrary, the Chinese think the opposite. Despite their continuous development, they have always maintained a child-like mind and looked at the world in the most essential way, which makes them live simply and happily.
When it comes to gentlemen, most people think first of the royal nobles in medieval England. However, the Chinese are different in their gentleness. Their gentleness is embodied in their tolerance of others, but it is not the swallowing of breath, but the reflection of good quality.
After reading this book, I have a new understanding of the Chinese people, but also more worship their own nation.
