浅读《中国人的精神》
王芙蒂
Gu hongming is no stranger to me. When I was in junior high school, my Chinese teacher often mentioned him in class. At that time, I can not understand the teacher's worship, often think, is not a pedantic stubborn strange old man? Is not holding the old ideas of the "feudal" it? Need to be respected?
Then I learned from the book " Chinese Spirit" that Mr. Gu is a man of great erudition, profound understanding and strong patriotic spirit. The Chinese Spirit is one of his works. The purpose of this book is to explain the Chinese spirit and reveal the value of Chinese civilization. The author believes that to evaluate the value of a civilization, one should look at what kind of men and women this civilization produces. At the same time, after comparing the Chinese and the people of major western countries, the author concludes that the Chinese and Chinese civilization have three major characteristics: deep, broad and simple. In order to discuss the viewpoint, the book is divided into three parts: Chinese spirit, Chinese women and Chinese language. Next, I will first talk about my feelings about this work, and then talk about my own harvest and feelings about these three parts.First of all, Chinese studies cannot be abandoned. It is urgent to vigorously carry forward traditional culture in this period of social transformation. I should read more classics. Then, the author's sense of civilization pride is very strong, but I do not agree with the author's view that Chinese civilization is the only medicine to save Europe. I don't think there is any civilization in the world that can replace another civilization. Each civilization has its reason for existence and its law of development. Civilization cannot totally deny it and sentence it to death because of temporary difficulties.Another very important point of view of the author is that Confucianism is not religion, but it can replace religion and make people no longer need religion. This view is a great affirmation of China's Confucius and Mencius doctrine.
In the part of Chinese women in the book, the author thinks that the ideal female image of Chinese is housewife type, which conforms to the " three from four virtues". This part is a bit heavy and pedantic now. After all, women in the new era advocate independence and freedom. However, due to the social background at that time and the low status of women, it is not surprising that the author's idea was mainstream at that time. Finally, the author concludes, " The real woman is chaste, shy, charming and gentle."
However, as a female college student in a new era, I think that women should be independent and have the courage to assume social responsibilities and do their part in building a harmonious society.
