My feelings

钱静静
During the winter vacation of more than a month, I had the honor to read Mr. Gu hongming's book -- The spirit of Chinese people. In the process of reading from the simple to the deep, I was deeply touched by the Chinese spirit in Mr. Gu hongming's works and wrote down my own rough feelings here.
Mr. Gu hongming
This is the first time to know the name of Mr. Gu hongming. In that feudal and superstitious society, in that backward and vulnerable society, Mr. Gu hongming learned from both Chinese and western learning and was known as "the geeky hero in the late qing dynasty". This is the characteristic that Chinese have over westerners in the corrupt society, which is worth learning and mastering by every one of us. Gu hongming has maintained the dignity of Chinese culture and changed some westerners' prejudice against China with his own pen, which aroused his respect for Mr. Gu.
Inductive one
"The first thing about the Chinese spirit," writes Mr Koo, "is that it is gentlemanly, and gentlemanly is not by nature weak, nor is it weakness or submission, but it is not toughness, harshness, rudeness or violence." Mr. A's explanation of Chinese gentlemanliness is so excellent that it speaks the true meaning and purpose of Chinese gentlemen in an impartial way, and exposes some westerners' misunderstanding that Chinese gentlemen are weak.
Inductive two
In the book, Sir John makes it clear that to evaluate a civilization, one must look at "what kind of men and women it can produce". Mr. Wang pointed out that "to understand the real Chinese and Chinese civilization, that person must be deep, broad and simple", because "Chinese character and the three characteristics of Chinese civilization, is deep, broad and simple", in addition to "sensitive". From this unique perspective, Mr. Gu hongming compared the Chinese with the americans, the British, the germans and the French, again highlighting the characteristics of the Chinese people.
Inductive three
Mr Koo also writes that the Chinese live a spiritual life, so that "rather than being hindered in their development, the Chinese are a people that never grows old" and that "they possess the secrets of eternal youth". This nation of "children living a spiritual life" has no interest in abstract, rigid science and technology. Mr. A interprets the Chinese nation from another perspective. The language may be too absolute, but he still writes that the Chinese nation is a nation that never grows old, just like the Chinese spirit.
