View The Great Gatsby after reading
The Great Gatsby is a novelette set in 1920s New York City and long island by the American writer f. Scott Fitzgerald. The 2013 film of the same name, directed by Baz Luhrmann and starring Leonardo Dicaprio, is the best known of these adaptations. Through the narration of "I" Carraway, it describes the tragic story of the mysterious millionaire Gatsby who stuck to his love and was finally abandoned by love and died for it. With beautiful language and exquisite skills, it describes the social landscape of the United States in the "jazz age" in a delicate and accurate way, which can be regarded as a swan song to show the collapse of the "American dream" in the 1920s, and is regarded as the symbol of the American literature in the "jazz age".
Gatsby has great ambition and firm faith in love. But also a person who can't shake the self-doubt that comes with being born.He fell in love with a woman who didn't know what he wanted and paid a huge price for it. Perhaps the greatest irony of his life and the kindest lie the world ever told him was the last phone call. Why is The Great Gatsby? Compared with the exquisite egoism in the novel, Gatsby has a rare sincerity and persistence. But those nothingness, have some kind to be love? How much is not reconciled? After all, not only precious.
There's a great line in the book.Whenever you feel like criticizing others, remember that not everyone in this world has the advantages that you have. Whenever you are not satisfied with yourself, and you are in a deep sense of inferiority, and you think that you can do nothing well and that others are better than you, think about the fact that perhaps no one else in the world has ever experienced what you are going through.
