作者简介

威廉·莎士比亚（1564－1616）出生于埃文河畔斯特拉特福并在那里长大。25岁时，莎士比亚离开斯特拉特福的妻儿，搬到伦敦，开始在环球剧院做演员并开始写作。莎士比亚著有三十多部戏剧，还写了一些优美的诗歌。1611年，他写成《暴风雨》，这是他所有剧作中唯一一部原创作品——通常他都是重述别人的故事。如今莎士比亚的剧作依然举世闻名，在很多人心中他是最伟大的英语作家。

William Shakespeare (1564–1616) was born and grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon. At the age of twenty-five, he left his wife and children in Stratford, moved to London, and started working as an actor and writer at the Globe Theatre. Shakespeare wrote more than thirty plays, and some fine poetry too. He wrote The Tempest in 1611, and it is his only play with an original story － usually Shakespeare retold other people's stories. Shakespeare's plays are still famous all over the world today, and for many people he is the greatest writer in English.
