My point

    The character’s mother was come from a good family, and she was educated. But she fell in love with Paul’s father impulsively, and their love faded after some months because they didn’t understand each other. Their value was different. So Paul’s mother put all her ambition into Paul. She wanted Paul to join in middle class, rather than like her at the lower class. She controlled Paul’s everything when Paul grew up. Paul’s mother taught Paul learning and didn’t allow him to the mine. She put much attention to Paul, and didn’t care about her husband. Although Paul was good at study, his mental was destroyed. Paul loved his mother but also hated her. Paul’s life had to live the way his mother recommended. He liked writing, but his mother didn't like him to write. I think his mother was selfish; she put all her want to Paul. Paul’s family was broken, and Paul given love from broken family. These love were stressed. Paul wanted to go away from this broken love and his home, but he was connected with his mother all the time, which was so conflicted.
