双城记 A Tale of Two Cities
A Tale of Two Cities
Having read A Tale of Two Cities, my feelings thrived. I can't help thinking that what's the real meaning of a revolution. Mrs. Defarge is a typical character who nearly became crazy under such an oppression. She didn't forgive anyone as long as the one has a little relationship with Marquis. On the other side, I was deeply touched by Carton, who is willing to devote his life for his loved one. He helped Lucie and her husband flee and replaced her husband to die. His spirit deepens and emphasizes what the article wants to express. All in all, all the characters in the book are all described vividly. And it also helps me have a better understanding of the French Revolution.
